About Merek Wigness
Merek has been actively engaged in his family bison ranch in Southwest Saskatchewan since 2010. Wigness Bison operate 3 herds on 3200 acres.
He has been on the Saskatchewan Bison Association board of directors since 2017. Merek is currently a member of several Canadian Bison Association committees, including the Conservation & Pedigree committee and Research committee.
Merek has had a day job managing a research lab at Agriculture Canada for over 20 years, working in molecular biology and plant pathology.
